CGB-EBB-G. Albert Harmon MALTBY, b. Sept. 14, 1827 (Tim.6, Tim.5, Sam.

N.Y.?), b. Apr. 28, 1830; d. July 30, 1891. m. (2) Apr. 25, 1893,

Note. Joanna Weed was sister of Hoyt Weed of Rupert, Vt., who
m. Harriet Maltby (6) and of his twin brother, Townsend Weed, also
of Rupert, who mar. Harriet Maltby's sister, Almina Maltby. (Helen
Doane, although not related by blood, was, one might say, a first
cousin "in-law" of Albert Harmon Maltby.) The Weeds were from Long
Island. They were probably of the same family as Maltby Weed, b.
1795 of Stamford, Ct. They are said to be children of John Weed,
Capt. War of 1812, and wife Mary Townsend, b. in Conn., but m. at
Albany, N.Y.
"Early Settlers of Rupert, Vt."(Bennington Co.) by Geo.S.Hibbard, gives
Capt. John Weed eleven children, one of whom is given as "Joanna m.
Simeon Doane." If correct, this gives a Rev.War ancestry for descendants
of Albert Harmon Maltby.
Pulaski, Aug. 2. After an illness of several months Albert Harmon
Maltby passed away last evening at his home in Lake street, aged about
80 years. He was b. September 14, 1827, and had always made his home
in this village. He was at one time engaged as a contractor and build-
er. He is survived by his widow. The funeral will be held from the
family home at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.
